Bebe Rexha & Martin Garrix bring the love with their new dance song

Image
This is one of the songs that I've been obsessing over lately! DJ and producer Martin Garrix has collaborated with one of my favorite songwriters now turned singer, Bebe Rexha for his latest single, "In the Name of Love." As soon as I heard Bebe's unique voice in the beginning, I knew this was a match made in heaven. Martin Garrix is usually known for his beat drops, but he keeps it simple in this song, making sure the beat doesn't overpower or drown out Bebe's vocals. Then there is that catchy as hell chorus with the, "La La ufh" on repeat. Not only is the production value amazing, the lyrics are really deep talking about the type of love many of us long for...that head over heels if you jump, I jump kind of love. The video is also amazing, and I still can't believe Martin Garrix is only 20! This guy has a long and successful career ahead of him, and I'm so glad Bebe is finally getting some recognition as her own artist because not only is...

Sia is giving me some 'Cheap Thrills' with her new dance song

Image
It was just 2 weeks ago that I blogged about Sia's song Move Your Body, and now the singer/songwriter has wowed me again with her song Cheap Thrills . I AM LOVING IT! Not only does it have a great dance beat, but it also has some catchy lyrics. She also enlisted Sean Paul on this track, which reminded me the reason why he was such a hit maker back in the early 2000s. Now remember Sia used to write music for some big artists until she thought, 'Hey I can sing too!' She can really sing anything! I always like to think who she would pick to sing her songs if she couldn't perform them herself, and I can totally hear Gwen Stefani singing this one. Reports say she actually wrote it for Rihanna, but we all know RiRi has gone the more urban and acoustic route for her new album. Anyways, this is a SURE hit, and I can't wait to hear it on the radio and in the clubs! YOU GO SIA! Sia released a fun lyric video to the song that I think you would enjoy. You can watch it b...

Tracy Champman's "Fast Car" gets a dance cover 28 years later

Image
A song written by four-time Grammy award-winning folk singer and songwriter Tracy Chapman has made its way back on the music charts. "Fast Car" was a 1988 hit, and you can still hear it occasionally played on the radio. Newcomer British producer and DJ Jonas Blue has created a mellow dance version of the hit and enlisted singer Dakota whose voice fits perfect with the melody. This song is pretty much perfect for any lounging event with its calm tropical beat and soothing vocals. I can easily see this song being played into the summer and listened to while many relax by the pool or on the beach. Take a listen below. If you like, you can now purchase Jonas Blue's version of "Fast Car" now on iTunes . I've also posted Tracy Chapman's original version, just in case you need a refresher on what it sounds like, and well because it's pretty awesome too!

Sia's new song will make you MOVE YOUR BODY

Image
So every now and then a major music artist releases an awesome dance track that makes you want to bust a move no matter where you're at. Well that's exactly what Sia has done with her song "Move Your Body." Best known for ballads, Sia upped the tempo and created what's sure to be a hit on the charts with its catchy and clever lyrics alongside it drum-beating sound. Since Sia is also a songwriter for many major artists, there's rumors saying "Move Your Body" was originally written for Shakira, but she passed on it because she wanted a more acoustic sound for her new album. I could totally hear Shakira singing this song, and I think it's a shame she decided to pass on it, because it could've helped put her back on the U.S. charts. Oh well, nonetheless, Sia has created a masterpiece for your ears with this one. I hope she releases it as a single close to summer, because it could be THE SONG of the summer. Anyways take a listen below, and yo...

MORTEN's "Beautiful Heartbreak" gets remixed by Avicii

Image
Danish producer and DJ MORTEN just released his new single "Beautiful Heartbreak" featuring Swedish singer Frida Sundemo. Morten infuses his slow rhythmic beats with Frida's beautiful, soft vocals. Now take that and hand it over to big-time EDM producer Avicii to remix, and you've got pure magic to your ears. This song is great to listen to if you're in the mood to chill or if you're ready to hit the club. I would definitely add it to your playlist. I think it will be a big hit on the dance charts. You can find it, along with some other great remixes, now for download on iTunes .
