REVIEW: 'Tomorrowland' would be better left in the past
If you've ever been to Disneyland, then you know the magic and excitement that Tomorrowland possesses. So you could imagine my excitement when I heard they were making a movie based on it. I, like many, has such high hopes for this film, but sad to say that hope was crushed halfway into watching it. The film focuses on Casey Newton (played by Britt Robertson), a teenage girl, who finds a pin that shows her the future world of Tomorrowland each time she touches it. She is met by a robot who looks like a young girl named Athena. Together, they venture off to find an inventor named Frank (played by George Clooney), who met and fell in love Athena when he was a little boy after he took a trip to Tomorrowland before he was thrown out. All three of them then try to get to Tomorrowland, but their quest becomes difficult, because they are being hunted by androids disguised as humans.
